FOCUSED MIND

And she said, Look your sister-in-law has gone back to her people and to her gods, return after your sister-in-law. But Ruth said: Entreat me not to leave you or to turn back from following after you; For wherever you go, I will go; And wherever you lodge, I will lodge; Your people shall be my people, And your God, my God. Where you die, I will die, And there will I be buried. The Lord do so to me, and more also, If anything but death parts you and me.. Ruth 1:15-17

WOW!!! What a determined and focused mind. Ruth is a daughter in-law to Naomi. After the death of her husband, the mother in-law decided to return to her God by going back to her home town. Now in this passage, we could see how focused and determined Ruth was to stick to her commitment to the new family she found through marriage. Ruth also has seen something in Naomi that her sister -in-law orpha did not see. So, she made up her mind like Elisha to follow Naomi and be connected with the God of Naomi. Ruth's focused and determined mind got her to her glorious expected end. Halleluyah.

Now you have given your life to Christ, how is your relationship with your maker, How committed are you to your savior, the one who gave His life to purchase eternal life for you, who became poor for you so you may be rich. Is there anything that will make you turn back from Him like orpah did, or no matter what, like Ruth, you will stick to that commitment you made when you surrendered your life to Him and followed Him till His return. As we celebrate the His death that took away the punishment of our sin and His Resurrection that give us HOPE OF ETERNAL LIFE. Make up your mind to stay focused and be determined to run your race till the end to receive the crown of glory. Shalom.

HOLD STEADFAST TO YOUR DREAM

Now Joseph was the governor of the land, the person who sold grain to his people. So when Joseph's brothers arrived, they bowed down to him with their faces to the ground....
